#Writespiration 52 Weeks in 52 Words The Blood Curdling Phone Call

Another chilling week this week from Sacha for our #Writespiration prompts. We have to write about a blood curdling phone call in the middle of the night. Needless, to say, we have only got 52 words EXACTLY to do so!

This poem is about one of a parents’ worse nightmares.

Jarred awake around midnight

The phone rang loud and strong

Who could it be at this hour?

There has got to be something wrong

“Your daughter has had a seizure

You need to get here without delay

It seems she has been drinking vodka

And now the ambulance is on its way”
